JESUS, THE PERFECT TRAINER

Updated: Dec 16

Welcome to December! Let us finish this year strong with a heartful of thanks and praises to God for all that He has done for us. I am led to encourage you with a wonderful verse from Psalm 144:1, “Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.”

Like a warrior goes through a hard core training for attaining all skills for the battle, the Lord trains us perfectly into necessary skill, empowers us to face life’s challenges and gives victory. The Lord made the little Samuel to be a great leader for the nation. He will do it for you.

How the Lord trains us for the battle?

1. Through ‘ The Mentors’: God gives the right mentor and role models to guide and teach us skills to rise up in that talent and to become a leader. He also shows the right people and the right things to imitate from them which will be a great blessing (Hebrews 13:7).

2. Through great ‘Understanding’: Wisdom and understanding comes from the Spirit of God. Sometimes God leads us through the experiences, books, news and from the happenings of the world to draw that knowledge. When we ask the Holy Spirit, He help us learn it so well and to master that skill (Colossians 1:9)

3. Through ‘Opportunities’: Let us be wise in making use of every opportunity that the Lord supplies. Whether it is small or big, when we grab that God-given opportunity our lives will never be the same. (Ephesians 5:15, 16)

This is how God trains us for battle. So, let us make use of these opportunities, learn from the mentors and with understanding draw every knowledge.

Let us submit our life, open our hearts for instruction and ask the Holy Spirit to equip us with all the necessary skills, talents, to give us an understanding mind and knowledge to succeed in our lives. At the right time, God will send us the unexpected opportunity and take us to high places and make us shine before all.

Wishing you and your family a blessed and a joyful Christmas!

With much prayers,

Samuel Dhinakaran
